29 Gallon Nano SPS

Well I am thinking of setting up a 29 gallon Nano SPS tank. The list of items on the way are as follows:

Super Nano Over flow and return (Glass Holes)
Mag 5 return
ASM mini g
Ecotech MP10
Tunze Osmolator ATO

Things I already have the 29 gallon tank, and a 20 gallon for sump. As far as lighting goes I have a lumen bright reflector large with 250w coralvue ballast and 12k reeflux bulb. If anyone can think of anything else let me know...I will post pics as everything is arriving. I am going to start the stand this weekend.

Cool, looking forward to this setup. Maybe some dosing pumps? Makes keeping the parameters stable much easier. Cheers

Whats a good dosing pump?.....Should I stick with the metal halide or should I switch to 4 to 6 bulb T5 fixture?

For my 29 SPS tank I use Drew's Dosers from BRS, controlled by a Reefkeeper lite. I'd use T5's over MH on any nano unless I planned on a chiller.

And if I had it to do over again, I would absolutely get rid of my 29 and go with a 30. This is the sad voice of experience speaking. I whined about the reasons in this short thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1979646

Well still waiting the arrival of all the goods....Went to the hardware store and purchased the necessary goods for the stand. I am still trying to decide on a light. Do I go with MH or do I go with T5s. Then if I go with a T5s the only 30" 4 bulb fixture is coralife. But then I will have a limit choice of bulbs or do I go with a 6 bulb 24" and have lots of choices?.........

I use an AI Sol Bliue over my 25 Rimless. I really like it. No heat transfer and plenty of light. Acros and monti took some time getting used to it but now look great. I chose an LED light because I wanted the intensity without the need for a chiller or changing fading bulbs. And, I like the shimmer. A MH on a 29 will likely require a chiller or fans and tons of evaporation. On a 29, you can use the AI Sol Nano which wich is a bit smaller and has the built-in dimmer. There was a price drop recently on both products. There is also an new product from EcoTech. Lots of features.

Here are some pic so far stand is done, tank is drilled, and water is flowing...
