What size pump do I need for a 29 gal tank with a 29 gal pump?

I use a Mag 7 for my return.

I use a ViaAqua 1300 ... about 250-300 gph at 4' head ... great for softies and other low flow corals.

I have about the same setup. I do use a CPR100 overflow. The return pump is a Mag 7 that is in the sump.

To the people using Mag 7 for returns, do you guys use ballvalve? 700 gph is kind of strong going through a 29 isn't it. About to set up a 29 sump as well and have a Mag 7 but reluctant to use it....

i used a mag7 split with a T

When I had my 29 going I also used a Mag 7 but I ran it through a SCWD so it was not too much flow. I think a Mag 5 would also work fine.
