Subject says it all. 2nd get, with improved rear sump, and dual 24watt PC's. Nice external ballast, and dual cooling fans. It is in average shape, there are some minor scratches on the glass, they dont show when its kept clean properly.

Make an offer.

Guess I will put it in my office.... I worry about temp fluctuion, as I work in a state building (not cold, a heater can handle that), but from time to time the chilled water fails downtown, and it can get warm. May have to do echhhhhh freshwater. It probably would make a kick butt small planted tank with 50 watts of pc over about 7 gallons of water.

Thanks,
Alan

Hey Alan,

I used to work for the TN Supreme Court, and I know first hand what you mean about the temperatures. I had a 20g Long reef in my office for about a year or so before I decided to change jobs. Some Mondays I would come in and see the water temp well into the mid to upper 80s. I always kept a frozen bottle of water, so I'd toss it into the sump sometimes to bring it down.

It's definitely nice to have something like that at work. Wish I had one now....but maybe I will when we move into our new building!

For the most part, yes. I had a time or three that the corals didn't look too happy, but by lunch time they were fine. I'm not sure what the tank you're talking about looks like, but I didn't have any fans on mine, which in retrospect, I'm sure would have helped.

It was fine during the week when the A/C was on...but over the weekend, they turned it off...so Monday morning my tank would be on the hot side...

I would drop in the frozen bottle and leave it for five minutes or so...then take it out for 10-15....then drop it in again, etc...until the temp came down.
