LOL - they live until you can't stand them any longer. Then they go away. Some go down the toilet, others go back to the LFS, and some become dinner for other fish, I hear lionfish will take care of the little buggers in no time at all.
Well I've had one since I started my tank (3 years ago) and yesterday he died. My levels are fine so I was wondering if it was just of old age. He wasn't small when I got him.
I am sorry to hear that. I am sure they are great fun when they haven't got any other fish to fight with. Since he was already grown when you got him it could be just old age.
