The vectra has a great reputation for being silent and reliable, i would also consider red dragon pumps if your budget can fit them. I'm currently using a waveline DC 6000 on a 200g tank, which also works really well, although not dead silent...
No idea here but with my current upgrade to a 240 I was also looking at the vector m1 but ordered the larger L series. You have the option to dial it down if need be so offers room in my opinion.
I am considering getting the Reef Octopus Varios 6(1720gph-$285) for my 300 gallon, but now I'm thinking the varios 8(2700Gph-$350) so I don't have to turn it up all the way(I've read they are silent)... I guess it depends on how much return flow you need... the L1 goes up to 3100gph.. but costs more than the varios pumps.
Deepwater DC12. They cost around $230 and I've never had any issues with mine. Perfectly quite, tons of head pressure, and fairly small. I can't imagine a reason to pay twice as much for the Vectra but I'm sure people have their reasons.
