Looks Like we will be moving into a new home soon. Currently I have a 60g cube with a 40g sump. House has a large eat in kitchen as well as a large basement. Plan is to move my 60g into the basement. & build a new fish room/ sump system to support the 60g a 150g and a 300g tank this will be phase 1. Phase 2 will be building the 150 as a peninsula tank dividing the kitchen & dining area this will be a fowlr with a breakfast bar off the side towards the kitchen. Phase 3 will be to put a 300g reef in the basement built into the wall/fish room. This is gonna be a slow long build. I will be using this forum as a planning tool for now.

I want to build a sump made out of that hard white plastic material I've seen a few on this forum. Anyone know what it is or who makes it.

For heat I was thinking a 3kw heater. Figure 450-500 in displays. 100-150 gal sump plus 100-200 gal misc tanks etc following 3w min per gallon rule. That would be 1950w -2550w. So 3kw should be perfect. Has anyone used a stainless steel spa heater? Like this one.
