Any ideas how to make the switch. The tank same size but higher and reef ready. That is the main reason i am doing it. and will new sand hurt it i have a lot of sps. I am scared to crash the whole tank. has any one done this with success.
New sand shouldn't do anything beyond clouding up the water for a few days. I'd try to reuse as much water from the 40 as I could to ease the transition for the sps.
