It will be a sps tank with many reef fish i hope,my125 reef has outgrown itself and the fish need more room.

finished the hood today, it will house 4 luminarc hoods. The wood blocks are just for supprt until i mount the hood to the ceiling.

I put the lighting system on a sliding track rail mounted to the ceiling, found this stuff at home depot in the door isle.

It works great for $60 in parts and will support 50lbs with ease.

Can you elabotrate more on the rail system. What kind of material is this? I will be putting 4 luminarcs over my 375 when I begin to build. Like what you have here and very interested based on the price you paid for material.

The rail came from homedepot, in the door section, it's made for sliding doors and will support 50lbs easy.

It comes in 6' sections and includes the rollers, great deal and as you can see by my pictures, it works great and its all you need.

here's a shot of the rollers wich sit inside the rail, i removed the center post which is for mounting a door to and replaced with a eye hook, screwed rite in and then you can attach whatever you like to it to support your lighting system.

Very happy to see you are still in the hobbie, and now with a bigger tank. Looks nice so far. Could you please take some pictures much closer of the hood itself showing the joints, how you put them together, material, etc. I will redo my canopy at some point and this is exactly what I had in mind. I also have to built it 10ft long like yours, but mine to house 5 of those same reflectors along with a bunch of VHO.
