400W Metal halide melted! Intresting day for me

so i dont know if this has happened to any of you but i am running 4 400w metal halides on my 300g reef tank and it appears that one of the bulbs has melted... lol to me this seems like this sort of thing shouldnt happen take a look..

i would contact the manufacturer that is definately not supposed to happen.. Luckily it didn't burst though..

Reefing as we know it, would have come to an end. Clowns would stop being funny fish. Angels would go to the dark side. Anglers wouldnt be able to catch any prey. Surgeonfish would turn to chiropractor fish. Itd be a sad, sad sight.

Or itd probably kill some of your tank inhabitants, due to the possible toxins (mercury and other metals). One of the two ;)
