40b stocking list??

I have a 40b that I setup in may of this year. I have a few pieces of coral already in it, but dont know how many fish I can put in it or what other options I have.

So far my fish consist of.
-1 snowflake clown
-1 yellow watchman goby(w/ pistol shrimp)
- 1 scissortail goby
- 1 flame goby
- 2 cleaner shrimp
- 1 peppermint shrimp
- 1 boxing shrimp

I woukd really like a dragonet(preferably a mandrin), a flame angel, or something else random and flashy. I bobbled the thought of a super small eel, but I feel like it would eat everything else in my tank(like my angler that I had to sell did).

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

At this point why not get a mate for your snowflake clown? Clowns do not live solo in the wild and it would be nice to replicate the nature.
If you want to keep your tank peaceful then consider getting a smaller fairy wrasse or a flasher wrasse and skip a dwarf angel.

I had a mate for the clown, but he managed to disappear about 3 weeks after I got him.

Am I really just limited to 1 or 2 other fish?

With it being a 40 gallon breeder, IMO, I would stay away from the Flame Angel. Overtime he will become aggressive in that size tank. You maybe can try the Rusty or Cheurb Angels which are a little less aggressive and little smaller.

Maybe a coral beauty instead?

Dwarf angelfish are algae grazers which is why a larger tank is recommended even for smaller ones. It is not a fish size that is most relevant rather fish behavior, feeding requirements, and territorial imperative. Algae grazers are inefficient eaters so that single feedings per day would not sustain them properly long term.

I ended up going with a royal gramma basslet and a new piece of coral. My local store is going to find me a ruby red dragonet for my next fish and I plan on ending up the tank with a star fish of some sort and maybe a flasher wrasse.
