Sweetness. Another sps reefer in the area. Love it. That 75 is going to be nice. Can't wait to see it finished. What are you planning for lighting?

My lights are leds so I will stay with the leds I have 2 on my 40 breeder so I will switch them over to the 75. I do not know who makes my leds I think they are some ebay cheap ones but they seem to work fine on my tank everything is growing.

green slimer is like 9 across and like 14 tall had to break it to make some room. have a bunch of frags trying to sell for like 10 bucks each so I can get a calcium reactor right now I dose. Lots of work in a 40 breeder but my new setup is the 75 so should make it a little easier. 75 with 40 breeder sump asm g3 skimmer refugium and mag 12 return right now thinking I might need a bigger return since it will feed my frag and main tank finished most of the stand last night will take some pics today so everyone can see what it looks like with the tanks on.

If the frag tank is close to the 75, the MAG 12 should be enough of a return. I use(d) a MAG 7 for my 75. As long as you upsize to 1" plumbing on those MAG pumps, you should be fine. Your Seadra 5000 is only a 500gph pump (without the venturi - so probably a good % less), so even if you only flow 700gph through your sump, you'll be pretty efficient. I try to match my sump flow with my Skimmer, even with the fuge. I've found that effective for me.

Pics would be awesome. Shoot me a PM with the SPS you have, I love trading / adding different SPS.

Looking good Ray.

Man are you going to be happier with all the extra volume in a 75 and the 40 sump. I agree with Joe on the Mag being enough -- but you have to increase to tubing to 1" as he said.

Im lookign forward to seeing shots of everything. Thanks for sharing and welcome to the local club

I was wondering how you were going to move the whole setup from the kitchen (in the 1st set of pics) to another room (then I saw the furniture sliders underneath -- good idea)

Are you going to skin the stand and paint it? If I had it to do over again -- I would have put some membrane inside the stand or something more protective to deal with spills, overflows , salt creep etc that will probably happen around the sump in the stand.

i sprayed the hell out of my tank stand with outdoor waterproof spray. water just drops and forms balls just wipe off and everything is good. Ok so i am done plumbing pretty much and all set up with water just letting it settle but my frag tank creates a gargle sound in the overflow box it fills then it drains. So let me try to explain it a little better. the water goes into the frag tank then hits the overflow the water stays in the overflow a bit overfills then drains loudly is there something I am missing.

What type of standpipe do you have in the overflow? Sounds like air is causing the noise. You can do a herbie or stockman type to quiet it down. If you have three holes you can do a beananimal overflow.

just some update pics going threw a diatom bloom right now just waiting for it to clear up girlfriend put tap water in the tank forgot about the ro.
