5.5g hood

OK i know there are a ton of you guys out there who have 5.5 gallon tanks...well i have one too and need to make a hood. Problem is i am a diy moron, no joke absolute imbecile...so can anyone help me with a diagram on how to build one and how to wire the lights?

yeah i know about those...but i would rather make a wood enclosed one...loks better and that way i could keep a jaw fish...i just was wondering if anyone had plans already drawn up and how they cooled it etc...

like i said, carpentry and electricity, not my forte
