A friend of mine has had an extremely large 5"+ Amphiprion polymnus living with a small perc for ~3 years in a 40 gallon tank. Apparently the A. polymnus has never showed any sign of aggression to the percula.
Recently they broke down the 40 and put them in about a 55 temporarily to get ready for a larger tank and while doing so added a smaller perc. The two percs paired up (one perc used to always hang around the A. polymnus). The A. polymnus now stays on his own side in rocks, does not (should say, has not) go to the haddoni or gigs, and does not mess with the clownfish.
Does this fish just have a rare personality or have people seen A. polymnus (even full grown ones) be peaceful towards other clowns and have no interest in anemones?
