Just wanted to give my testament of my experience with TBS!
I placed my order saturday night, I woke up to an email saying it was on the plane and headed my way! Talk about quick service!
this was the first part of "the package" i ordered containing my sand and base rock. I've seen many cases of Richard throwing in extra's to orders and this was no different. I initially asked if he could make 8-10lbs of my lr order to be small rubble pieces for my sump. He threw those in at no extra charge.
All boxes of goodies came smelling like they just left the ocean. There was absolutely no die off smell and the rock and sand was teaming with life. Actually when spreading my sand a Slipper Lobster swam from under my hand and scared the **** out of me. lol
Upon close inspection of the rock, you can see it's covered with great coraline and life. i can't wait to get my 2nd part of package!
Hitchikers i've noticed thus far:
numerous snails
serpent star
sea cucumber
hermit crab (possibly more than one)
other various crabs. two that i noticed, one i was able to catch and put in sump. Still looking for the other.
various sponge on rock.
The tank settled and cleared to what you see in the pic below in less than 24 hours. it's not crystal yet, but very nice!
If your into using wild caught LR, i highly recommend TBS.
