55 gallon 260watt light fluval 404

i was wondering if i could strat a salt water tank with a 55 gallon tank a fluval 404 canister filter ,and a aquaclear 70 filter, and a hang on red sea prisizm skimmer. any advise or help i would be greatful

First it would be good to know what type of marine aquarium you want? Do you want corals or fish only? Will you have live rock in your tank?

I think that is good equipment to start with but you will need some extra powerheads for circulation.

i was just wanting a fish only tank but i thought a bout getting 60 pounds of live rock
