i'm building a 55 gallon reef

29 gallon sump
Is live sand a must? can i just use cleaned beach sand?
Is having the majority of live rock in the sump a problem? planning on 25-35 lbs in sump with skimmer and heater down below with 20lbs in diplay for more room for fish.
I want to do 4 firefish two diffrent types of clownfish 2 each 1 coral beuty is this to many?
also with 5 shrimp 2 peppermint and three coral banded
Here's my plan and what i've done so far
ordered the tank comes next wensday paid 55 bucks made the sump and stand i've got a 500 gph return pump seaclone skimmer emperor 400 to hold carbon a chemipure (without filter pads or with?)
two 250 watt heaters one for backup, two 500 gph aqeuon powerheads.
I still need lights, (for corals I made a 36inch dual t8 for now)and an overflow and was thinking about t5hos maybe just a 2x54 to grow some low light corals then evtually buy another to get a nem, higher light corals.
plan on doing 20% water changes and sucking the pooh of the botom every 2 weeks
