55g ideas

I'm looking for some ideas on remodling my tank. Specifcally, I don't think my rockwork is high enough for my sps to flourish. I want to avoid the wall effect though. The mmost limiting factor is the 12" depth.

Pics of 55s would be great.

Thanks, Chris

don't have any pics, put I have a 58 oceanic show, 36x18x24. I have mine set up with all sort of caves and such, with a maroon clown hosting 2 bubble anenomes and one condy, and a cool damsel. got lots of other soft corals and am just starting to add the hards. May want to try making a couple "points" that just jut out from from a larger base portion of rock. also try make some little islands and populating them with different stuff. I made a drawing on paper before I actually put the stuff in and then adjust as needed.

I've had the current arrangement since the tank was setup. Given the 12" depth of the tank, it is difficult to arrange the rocks so they don't look like a wall.

I would like to add more highth (sp?), but retain some open space.

btw, I'm trying to avoid my desired upgrade with this redesign.

I had a 55, same problems here. I got a 75 and its just amazing the difference 6 inches can make.

Im basically making a small mountain in the far corner for coral placement, then a taller rock in the middle like an island, then making a ledge once i find the rock im looking for.

I want atleast a 90, but trying to make do with what I have.

NCreef...I been thinking about the offset mountain - from the left side in front of the OF.

heres my 60g, only around 16" or 18" cant rememebr which.

i'll try to get a full tank shot, i think my rock work is pretty different that the wall look. heres a shot of the right.
