55gal reef tank stocking recommendations

I've got a 55gal tank and currently I've only got 2 clown fish and a 6 line wrasse in it. We're considering getting rid of the wrasse because We'd like some other wrasses that dont play well with it but we're not sure yet.

At any rate, my question is, what are your recommendations for stocking a 55gal reef tank? We've been searching for a while and having a little trouble coming to a decision. I'm mostly hoping for something a little larger (>2 inches), but do realize my tank size and it being a reef tank limits my options.

I would reccomend against multiple angels of the same genus in a tank that small, it tends to be hit or miss and agression often rears its ugly head. that said, 55g gives you a good amount of room to work with both coral and fish wise.

what kind of clowns are they? If they're one of the smaller species (occellaris, percula or skunks) then you will still have plenty of elbow room for new fish, if they are a larger species (like maroons or clarkiis) then you're probably going to run into some major agression problems. assuming they're one of the smaller species, and that you remove the sixline wrasse, I would stock it similar to this:
(clowns)
tail spot blenny
randall's shrimp goby with tiger pistol
Mckoster's flasher wrasse (or carpenter's flasher if the price is too much for you)
pair of zebra barred dartfish or firefish

For the most part I agree with "moonstream" but would add that pink skunk clowns can be just as aggressive as any other clown. I just had to sell off my mated pair (( once they started spawning, that is when things changed )) because they had become way too aggressive. They were going after my dwarf angels all the time, even if they weren't near their anemone.

in my 55 reef i have:
4 chromis (i expect problems in the future but all is good for almost 2 months i think)
fiji blue devil
yellowtail damsel
3-stripe damsel
maroon clown (baby, <2")
purple firefish.

i MIGHT add another fish but i really like the activity. im not sure on what to add if i add another fish.

I have a 60 gallon and I been really lucky with keeping this fish for 4 months beside the angel

But here it is
