560w too much for 72g bow

I would say you are no where near to much it doesnt really matter the size of the tank as much as the bulb wattage and how close the coral is to the light.

no it's not too much. i keep 590W over a 92 corner w/ MH and VHO bulbs 10" above water surface. if your tank is not an open top, then that may be another story.

I have over little over 600w on a 36"x24"x24", about 5" from surface. They are also HQI DE bulbs, you will be fine, good husbandry is the key IMO.

I would look into getting a higher Kelvin bulb instead of the 20K's. They will not be intense enough in my opinion. Wattage isn't as important as the PAR of the bulbs which would be how the intensity is measured. Most 20K bulbs have pretty low PAR.

If you have the money then upgrade to 250w HQI, they are also good for your next tank upgrade.

You have enough to keep some acros happy, but for the ones that demand more light, you may end up with brown corals.

FWIW, I have 2x400w on my 75g and my Acros look really nice. I may end up changing them to 250w HQI to save on the Electric bill. :)
