58 stocking list

Hello all :)

I am cycling my new 58 and have started to give some thought to my fish list. This is my first tank large enough to hold a fair amount of fish, well atleast more than two which I usually held myself to. The tank is setup with a 20L sump, an ASM G2 skimmer, and an open rockwork structure with only 60lbs in there now. So, I think I have set myself up for some interesting fish.

Having said that, as mentioned I really haven't kept too many fish so I would appreciate any suggestion.

You can check out my tank build thread by clicking on my red house!

Thanks

It is going to be dominated by LPS/Softies with a few monti caps....sorry, I guess that would have been helpful :)

I have a very similar setup to what you have and here is my fish list:

Yellow Tang
Coral Beauty
Mandarin
Hector's Goby
Ocellaris Clown
Blue Spot Goby

you could do a

coral beauty
a pair of ocellaris clowns
3 blue green chromis

or
flame angel
pair of ocellaris clowns
goby pistal shrimp pair
some neon gobies.......

Thank, I appreciate the advice. One the pair of ocellaris, should I try to get a male and female? If so, how can I tell?

I have the same set you are doing, except I have a boat load of clams instead of skimmer, a 25 gal sump, and closer to 100# of LR.
Lubbock Fairy
Solerinsis Fairy
Pink Margin Fairy (lost it just this evening to a jumping accident)
Bicolor Rabbit
Maroon Clown and Rose BTA
Pajama Cardinal
Pair of Disbar Anthis
Watchman Gobie
Pair of Skunk Cleaners
Fire Cleaner
At least two pistol's
Monster of a yellow Brittle star.

and Coral :)

I believe the larger of the two will become the Female.

Josh Jean and Noah are correct and if you get them young enough, they are asexual as juveniles and, being the only two in the tank, will become male and female as they mature. Just be sure to get them a host anemone to help with their domestic partnership.
