6 Gallon CUC

So while my 6 gallon tank is busy cycling, I'm hoping to get together a list of my CUC just to have an idea ahead of time as to how I'll be stocking. I'm planning on keeping this tank relatively simple when it comes to coral/stocking. At the moment, I'm thinking the following:

  • 2x Scarlet Reef Hermit (or 2x Dwarf Zebra Hermit)
  • 1x Porcelain Crab
  • 1x Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
  • 1x Astrea Turbo Snail
  • 1x Nerite Snail
  • 2x Nassarius Vibex Snail
  • 2x Margarita Snail

Any thoughts or personal preferences? Porcelain vs. Emerald, Astra vs. Margarita, Skunk vs. Peppermint, Scarlet vs. Blue, etc?

Also, would it be overstocking if at any point down the road I wanted to add a pair of Sexy Shrimp in addition to these?

I am new to the hobby, so please go easy on me if any of this is terribly ill-informed :) though I don't think any of it is (aside from the issue of to have or not to have hermits).

skip the turbo. they bulldoze everything. It will knock any loose coral around and they are messy in general. lot of poop

That seems like a large cuc, I would skip the Scarlet Reef Hermits the Porcelain Crab and the Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp and I would recomend banded Trochus snail over all those other snails, they are very hardy and eat algea and leftovers like monsters but if you wanted variety I would go a few Astrea and Trochus and some Nassarius. Turbos bulldoze, Hermits can and will kill snails, margarita are more cold water. 6 gallons is kinda small for a cleaner as any fish you add probably isnt going to let him clean them, I know this as I have one in a 12 gallon and its constantly trying to jump on my clowns and royal gramma and it stresses them out.

I currently have a emerald crab and turbo snail in my 6G edge. It seems like the Turbo is just doing all the work. I might just return him and get something else. Probably some smaller snails.
