6 stripe wrasses HELP!!-

omg i just got the fish i always wanted today and i come to find out its got white spots on its fins like 5!! what do i do about this i have some copper safe for salt water and it says remove invertebrates without an exoskeleton and also says "may" be harmfull to plants?? and i got a cleaner shrimp an tons of soft corals and a alge blennie wit out..ich..???? please help im freaking out its not like i can catch the wrasses...

Dont ever use a copper treatment in your tank. It will kill about everything. They only way I will ever use copper is in a quarantine tank. The wrasses are usually pretty hardy and can sometimes live thru a bout of ick (assuming that is what you are dealing with). Try using flake food with garlic or look for other remedies that are garlic based. This seems to work over a week or two time frame if the fish can last thru it.

well i got him outta my tank last night i took like two hours you think my tank has ich now? since the wrass was in there wit a small case of ich.. i just dont want my blennie to get it now...im bringing the wrass back to LFS and gettin the same one with out ich.. im just so happy i got him out of the tank and he survived the night in a bucket with a blue glass cup ha..ya and i didnt use that copper **** cause it said it will kill plant and inverts so

Ich is/can be present in your tank and there could have been a number of ways that it got in there. LR, new fish, any number of ways. Copper is a BIG NO-NO in a DT, try to have a QT handy whenever treatment is needed. IMO, one of the biggest culprit of ich showing up is stress. New fishes, sudden change in temps, bad parameters, etc. can all cause stress. When you get your new fish, quarantine for 3 wks or so, then added them to your DT at night or with the lights off, to help them settle down into their new home. I think your blennie will be fine as long as you keep 'em well fed and stress free. Just watch your tank for the next couple of days to make sure that nothing else starts popping up. Good luck.

Try to dose Garlic Xtreme...or also deep all the food in it and then fee dit to tank so in case it is the fish will get rid of it.
