I think you would be best having more than one fish. Fish are somewhat like people they like companionship.
Question you should ask yourself is if you want a fish that will be front and center (i.e. an open water swimmer) or something that darts in and around the rocks.
Amazing butterfly, usually coral and invert safe depending on the individual (with the exception of feather worms, they'll be gone in no time IME), and are pretty small. I was thinking you should do a pair of them, as they are monogamous and travel/live in pairs in the wild.
Maybe a dwarf angel, there really closely related to butterfly's. I think a pair of the more aggressive clowns would good too. But as said earlier in the thread the lemon is problaby your best bet if you're set on a butterfly, although if you're open to having multiple smaller fish It makes your choices even bigger
A pair of really interesting clowns would be a great centerpiece. With a really big anemone and corals. If your main focus is corals, I would be hesitant to add something that has the possibility of being not reef safe eventually. Like butterflies and dwarf Angels. You could look into a dwarf lion fish as well.
For my show piece and only fish in that tank, I'd get one of these. Then I'd do a biotope specific to where the fish you chose live.
•Bonded Pair of Millet Butterflyfish (Chaetodon Miliaris)
•Bonded Pair of Flame Angelfish (Centropyge Loricula) or angelfish from the genus Centropyge
•Harem of 1 male and 4 female Angular Flasher Wrasses (Paracheilinus Angulatus) or wrasses from the genera Paracheilinus or Cirrhilabrus
•Harem of 1 male and 4 female Bundoon Blennies (Meiacanthus Bundoon) or blennies from the genus Meiacanthus
•Harem of 1 male and 4 female Orangetail Blue/Blue Damsels (Chrysiptera Cyanea) *This fish is sexually dichromatic
•Group of 3 Chalk Basslets (Serranus Tortugarum)
•Bonded Pair of Harlequin Basslets (Serranus Tigrinus)
•Mated Pair of Yellow Assessors (Assessor Flavissimus) or assessors from the genus Assessor *Assessors sometimes swim upside down
Hmmm, thanks for all the suggestions so far. I really appeal to rare unusual stuff. Most looking for open swimmers. Really like the lemon pair idea. So far

Most fairy wrasses are too big for a 60cube.
However, I'd say a diamond tail flasher wrasse ans your centerpiece and some gobies of different natures as your few other fish
And maybe a small borbonias anthia for a while.
I've had my 1.5" in my 11' tank for probably 8 months now, and he hasn't really grown at all. I feed heavily too
