Hi All,
I have a 6101 that's acting up a bit. The fishminder function has never worked, no biggie there really, just a symptom perhaps. But over the years it has stopped due to needing cleaning only a few times, as I clean it periodically. Each time it stopped, there was no alarm when the pump stopped. This last time, I could unplug the power and replug, it would start back up, run a bit rough (shaking) and would stop again 3-5 minutes later, no alarm. I did this a few times, had to go to work and such, then later I gave it a good cleaning (it needed it, mild Ca buildup) with vinegar and its been running fine for a few hours now, np.
But, what's up with the never getting an alarm? Does the 6101 have an alarm to indicate this condition like the 6100's did? Any way to get it fixed?
Also, any idea when the 6100/6101 drive units (prop/impeller) will be in? Vendors I've contacted all have them on back order.
