if you mean the spot light power compact.they work great and have been used successfully for refuge light

well its about 8 inches long and 55 watts four tubes with a square pin arrangement only problem they dont sell a ballast and fixture for it go figure?

thats not the one i was thinking of.the one that is being used looks like a spot light with pc in it.i think they are 6500k.people using this type say it grows macro like crazy.the one you are talking about would probably work.macro grows under less than desirable light anyway,so i think it will work.

Yeah, the one I'm thinking of is basically a screw in bulb, but looks like a power compact bulb. It's thin tubes bent in a round shape like a normal light bulb.
