A lot of people that run them run them all the time and other only run them Part time.

That is real a preference, and how your system runs running run.

No it will not kill your fish only thin it might kill that you want in your tank is pods and..from alot of stuff i read most of them wont be killed

it won't kill your fish, it can kill bacteria and pods. I wouldn't run it 24/7 on a small tank, but something 250+ gallons it wouldn't cause a problem.

I wouldn't run it non-stop. But I'm not the best to ask as I've never used one. I don't see the point. If you do water changes and keep your water clean what's the use. But from what I've read and researched, they should be used less often than 24/7.

I wouldn't even use one, but that's just my opinion. If you've been using one and you've had success then don't fix what ain't broken.

I hav no idea how many people even use them.

I have been running a 7 watt on a 46 bow front for 8 months and have had no issues

why run it if you dont need it. it is just one more thing that can and will go wrong with your tank.

i would take it off if you dont need it.
