Stephen, Ill keep it civil and not comment on the Whiskey!

There is not a killing platform in the world that can compare to the Apache. ( it does have its issues though)

An old Gun Bunny once told me to kill something everyday no matter how small to remain proficient.

I do have a question, with the AH64 some have the antenna looking thing in the middle on top top of the blades and some has the bubble like the one in the above pic, whats the difference, if ya dont mind :D

one is called the longbow, that one has the dome.it is a high tech radar system i believe.they can lock targets from the cover of a treeline and rise up and shoot then disapear back into the trees.

Ahh so the long bow and Apache are like cousins than or is it an Apache just set up to do different things?

Dang man, sorry Greg Im doing it again , sidetracking this thread, let me know if you want me to make an OT thread about this and I will :D

The one with the pipe coming out of the mast is a A/C model, that thing is an air data sensor (ADS), it is used in computing the ballistic solution for getting rounds on target. The Longbow (D models) have the ADS on the side of the engine nacelles.

The other is a D model and only one out of 4 has the Radar dish (microwave radar) It will paint the battle field and select targets then Data Burst (transmit) the targets to the other 3 aircraft they all can engage the targets without line of site to the target.

The one in your rear view mirror is a Longbow.

Mike, if you want to fly in a helicoptor do what my son did. Enlist in the Army Air Force Reserve as a helicoptor mechanic. He was required to fly in one of every ten helicoptors he worked on, but he didn't know which one of each ten. Obviously he was competent, he's still alive.

Yea he does...u buy the tank and get a library card...with unlimited access to BOOKs...WoOoo-HoOoOoo

Sorry couldnt resist the urge!

HOw much is the Tank/stand/canopy ? Do you have a student discount :D !

Yes I give student discounts........ but the retired and no other means of support surcharge is applied on top of that so it would be cheaper if you just paid cash.

I could go $450 for just the Tank-Stand-Canopy, but you are missing out on a almost new skimmer, sump, pump and Icecap VHOs and fans

65 RR AGA, Black stand and hood.
15 gal Sump and Velocity T4 pump (needs new impeller)
ER 5-2 skimmer with new pump and rubber.
Ice cap 660, T12 URI VHOs and end caps. (Bulbs should be replaced)
$750.

For you seeing it would be discounted as a wedding present and Ill even toss in some live rock and live sand for $650
