75 Gallon 2 returns? Overflow box?

I was wondering if a 700gph overflow box from glass holes be enough? Plus 2 returns or 1 return on a 75 gallon?

A 700gph overflow should be fine. Do you mean return pump? Just one.

Not sure of the dimensions of your tank, but I just went through the same dilemma. I have a 60 acrylic and it has the same footprint as a 75 normal sized tank, just not as tall. I ended up putting two 1" overflows, one with a durso and one for an emergency in case the durso gets clogged, and since it isn't that large of a tank, two 1/2" returns on the opposite ends of the tank. I figured it can't hurt to have return water coming in from both sides of the display. If it doesn't work out I can always valve one off or drill them larger.

Not that you should do the same, but that was my thought process.

Agreed unless you want the tank flat against a wall. I hate the look of the return lines coming up from the bottom of the tank and you can't always put them in the overflow.

I would run a c2c overflow bean animal style . Then have two 3/4 return over the top on each back corner it reduces the places for leaks

700 gph return is fine. Try to get the display gph with powerheads. The flow through the sump will be slow enough for your reactors and skimmer to have a chance to process the water and you will get less microbubbles going back to the display as well.

This is my DIY c2c overflow , I did mine herbie style though , it's really quiet , it skims the water from all across the tank, and plus it takes up les space than a traditional over flow .

I also have a 75 Gal and went with 2 pipes going down into the sump, one of them acting as an emergency back up. I went with a 1200 GPH overflow box and I have one return line in the middle that is connected to a dual output loc-line, so that one line shots water to the left and right of the tank. in the picture the return line is red and the 2 blues are the water entering the sump with the pipe making the 90 degree turn the emergency.

Overflow all across the top back . Return line in the upper left over the top I did the whole over flow myself . It cost me like 10 dollars and it look professional and doesn't take up a lot of tank space
