Looking to sell my 75 gallon tank/stand/canopy. Livestock not included.

Stand and canopy were custom built.
Aquarium is an All Glass reef ready tank with overflow.

stand being built:

This stand is sturdy, actually sturdy might be an understatement. :) As you can see it has double and triple 2x4's at the corners, as well as extra bracing everywhere. I wanted the cabinet doors on front to be big and allow access to remove the sump out the front easily. 2x4's were doubled on the front horizontal brace to keep from having any support posts in the front/middle.

The 2x4's are then skinned with maple plywood, and columns were built onto that.

The canopy was built so that it has doors on the front and sides. Also, the whole front of the canopy (including those mini columns) lifts up via a large piano hinge. You can choose to feed through the doors, or if doing bigger work, just lift the whole front up for more room than the smaller doors would allow.

Would like to get 350.00 for the whole setup. Livestock not included.

Forgot to add that the stand is 41" tall. You don't have to bend over to look in the tank.

This stand/canopy will also accept a 90 or 110 gallon tank.

Can you measure the maximum inside clearance for a sump? I don't think my sump will fit through the doors :( otherwise I'd love this. My stand/canopy is a POS.

The opening is a little over 31" wide and 28.5" tall. I put a 30 gallon sump in there easily. I don't think a 55 would fit though. What size is your sump?

43 X 16 X 16, fits under the 90, but I have to take braces off to put it in. Man that is a beautiful stand and canopy. Is the back open? I see 2 braces that are screw in on the back.

Yes, those braces in back you would probably have to remove. Without those there the rear opening is 42". I'm not sure if the sump would fit inside, though. I will take a picture tonight.

I''ll take this if it isn't spoken for yet. I'll be working a double tonoght, but I'm off tomorrow. Let me know.

Thanks, Clay

I'm going to be out of pocket for a little bit tonight, we have to go to HD which means road trip to Anniston. I will check back in as soon as I get home. If there is anyway to fit my sump in the stand I definitely want it (the setup). The sump is 43in L X 16 In W X 16 in H.

Hey Johnny, it looks like the dimensions would be 42" x 15-9/16" (if you removed those small triangular supports at the bottom).

Or you could have a piece of plywood cut to fit over the 2x4's/triangular corner supports, which would allow you to fit a sump 42" x ~19".

The length of the sump is limited by the corner 2x4 posts that take up roughly 6" of interior space.

:( 42 won't work, sigh the sump is 43 the width is ok, I could line it with plywood like you said. I just don't think my sump would ever fit looking at the pictures you made. Man I hate it; that is a great looking stand. I was going buy it for the stand alone. I'm going to have to pass on it much to my dismay. I think you said you built the stand and if you did that was excellent work.

SSragtop your gain my loss.

Thanks again.

:) glad it worked out for you. I was beginning to think I had messed both of you up. 1 more inch............................. sigh.

Good to hear! I would love to see some pics when you get it setup.

Sorry it didn't work for you Johnny...I might build another one someday. :) I enjoyed building the last one very much!
