75= how much rock

I had 125lbs+

but have seen a little at 50lbs

all depends on which style of filtration you use....or a combination of filration methods.

using very little rock you need to have some heavy filtration/skimming/etc...

Also depends on the type of rock. I had about 170lbs of Kaelini in my 72 bow but I thought it was way too much. Looked cool and had lots of space for corals but not much room for the fish to swim.

Different rock comes in different densities, so I think it's more a matter of volume than of weight (which is not so convenient when the product is always sold in bulk by weight). I say just "eyeball" it. Start low (ca. 75 lbs, I'd say, for a reef system) and work your way up until you've got the volume you want.

Thanks. I have about 50 to 100 range right now and I am picking up 100 in a week so was trying to guess how much extra I will have.

In my 165 I have 120 pounds of Bali rock and it is more than enough. The comments are very correct on the type of rock and also the look you wish to create.
