Well the economy is taking its toll on my budget (325 dollar electric bill will do that), so its time to get rid of the aquarium. I don't want to, and those of you that have seen my tank and know me are familiar with how much I love it, but alas it must go.

75 gallon RR
Sump with a Mag 12 running the return.
Tunze Flow on left side, Rio on the Right.
1/10 hp chiller, tank is kept at 77 degrees.
2x250 watt Hamilton Halide Hood and External ballast Combo.

Lots or large grown out corals, a mix of Soft, LPS, and SPS. Large gold Maxima Clam, and a Crocea as well. Lots of neat sponges. 150lbs of TBS rock. Lots of incredible unusual life like sponges, etc.

Four Clownfish, Engineer Goby, Arc-Eye Hawk, a few other varied fish, to be honest it is hard to think of everything while I am typing this.

Someone will get a great deal on a complete setup. I will not part this out, and I wont sell it for rock bottom, so no offers of 300 dollars or anything ridiculous like that. I would estimate that there is over 5000 dollars in this tank. A good starting point would be the 1500 dollar range. I will accept a reasonable best offer for the tank that started the "xxxx gallon build tank thread trend on reef central". This tank has been up for five years and all of the corals and clams are 3 - 5 years in the tank. All of the fish are the same for the most part.

thats a nice tank! good luck selling it, but you should post up an asking price.

IF you do part out, i might be interested in the arc eye. notice the IF part...

gorgeous tank!!!!!

alas, the economy makes it impossible for me to afford it as well :(

good luck selling it.......i love black clowns

man, i remember seeing this tank when i first got into the hobby....sad to see you go man!....good luck with the sale

Great looking tank. My 58 gallon is still cycling so I'm looking forward to greatness like this. I am sorry you are getting out. One good thing, those pics gave me a great idea on how to mount my lights!! thanks man. :-)

if you ever part out livestock and or chiller i'd be interested in many things..clams..full out pieces of corals..maybe prices ..but of course only if you decide to part out livestock..I understand you want to keep it all together.

I am also interested in the black clowns if you decided to part it out. Your tank is beautiful! It's none of my business, but it really would be a shame for you to get rid of it. I am sure It brings you lots of Joy!

A very nice tank ! I wish you the best on selling it. The way money is now days no way I could afford to buy all of it at once. I will have to go along with the crowd and say IF you decide to piece it out I would love to buy a few different pieces from you. Best of luck once again.

I think you would sell much faster if you sell it in pieces...just business wise it would be more logical to do that i think.

in any case i hope you find the right buyer.

I hope you decided to keep it, Alan! That is an awesome tank. One way to save big $ on the energy bill is to go with T5s and some computer fans and drop the halides and the chiller -- but then it might not look as purdy...

Surprising the majority of the watts used come from the Return pump, and the pump that drives the skimmer, and few other small pumps. It is because they run 24/7. I was shocked, the lights only cost me about 14 dollars a month, and the chiller is 100 watts, but only runs about 10 minutes an hour, about four hours a day.
