Hi guys!

How are you doing ? Hope doing good,

I'm starting my new project and would love to share it with the community and get new ideas from all the members...

So the main display will be a 800 gallon reef tank (10.85 ft long X 4 ft wide x 2.60 ft tall) connected to my actual reef which will become a FOWLR tank... which will have it's own sump to run it separately from a the a main a tank just in case. I haven't get the sump measure or design yet.

Equipment is already purchased and listed :
Skimmer: Deltec 4080TC
Return pumps: 3 Ecotech L1
160 Watts uv
6 gyre 250
8 radions xr30 pro gen 4 for the reef

I might use 600 pounds of live rock for the main tank and an extra 200 for the second display, 1 inch bed sand and algea scrubber on both systems.

Any recommendations guys ?

What server do you recommend for uploading the pictures ? The structure is being fabricated at my workshop and would like to upload the progress.

I highly suggest Flikr.

Good luck on your build, sounds like you've got experience with that 200 gallon tank already running.

Chris,

Thanks for your message! Never is enough experience in this beautiful hobby... Every day there is something new to learn.
Will upload some pictures of the process tomorrow! The glass have arrived today.. so luckily in 2 o 3 weeks the tank should be delivered.

I hope you guys like it and will post more pics on Monday ... Have a happy Easter holidays

The sump will be, or will not be, connected?
Sump will be 250 gallons and will go underneath... I'm finishing the design and checking all the measurements.
I hope to get the aquarium in 2 weeks.

Ive attached my actual reef that will be the tank for the fishes and only live rock.

Is the sump connected, or not connected to the small tank?
Actually they are 2 separate systems one is the 800 gallon display + 250 sump and the other one is 250 gallon display + 40 gallon sump... Normally I will use just the bigger sump and run both displays with that one. If I need to run them separately they will have their own sump, skimmer and all the necessary equipment.

Thanks Brunzy!

It's driving me crazy haha
I had to buy another skimmer as the Deltec will arrive in 45 days and I'm moving in 15 days... I got a reef octpus SRO 9000 from Coral Vue.. amazing service provided by Chris.
That skimmer will be used for the shop later on so not that bad to have it.

For corals I want to go mixed and try to get the best of each type.
