$900.00 for a dogface puffer!!!!!!!

Just got my daily update from LA and there it was a dogface puffer for 900.00!!!!!! Yes it has a little gold and some black, dalmation style. Yes it is some what rare, but wow. Personally I know I can be crazy when spending money on fish. If my girl knew the amount of money I have spent on a fish she may lose it. Just don't see 900.00 for a dogface. Tim

No I'd rather not discuss the dragon eel, haven't gotten it, yet..... Some one will buy it. My guess 48 hours tops. 900 is a crazy amount for that puffer, but if they get it kudos to them. They will sell that fish are their past history of having well adjusted fish. Tim

No $5.00 is what the exporter sold it for ,


so the person that caught might have gotten $2.00!!!!


I used to import fish from Indo and those divers do not make nothing maybe $5.00 dollars a day on a good day.


Price of gas is what jacks the price's up!!!!

But 900 for a puffer is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I like LiveAquaria, they overprice every fish in the Diver's Den. Subtract 30% and that's what you should really pay for that fish. Like $600 for that male crosshatch? Please... you can buy that same fish at a LFS for $400 or less. And now the $900 dogface puffer. :lol:

thats a great looking puffer but 900$ is STEEP maybe $190 would be more reasonable

I guess not due to the black coloring....

They do inflate my self-esteem about my fish though. I have a golden puffer that is arothron nigropunctatus not the meg. and they sold it for $369(I got mine for $170). I have a golden milliaris that they charge $500 for that I got for $200. And an aussie emperor they charge $599 that I got for $69(it was only 4 inches when I bought it 2.5 years back). See they make me feel good about my purchases!

this puffer is for sure unique as far as coloration but 900$! they can keep it ha ha
