I stopped by Eco Reef a few days ago to get r/o and Larry said Robert was on his way back with a shipment of fish. I waited around a while and he wasn't back yet, so I just picked up my water and a great little "Mimic Tang." He's a cute litte guy about 1 1/2" long and is a tang that looks a bit like a an angel.
Then, I went by yesterday to see what the shipment was and they got alot of new fish! Lots of wrasses, gobies, blennies, etc. I fell in love with a purple firefish...the coloring was much more intense than I had seen before...so I took him home too. And I was just there to see what they got! When I got home I had to put my eggcrate back on the tank since the firefish are jumpy and I've lost a couple of them and dartfish and gobies to jumping. So far so good.
Does anyone have any experience with the Mimic Tangs? I know he has a standard tang type appetite and even eats pellets, but I'm not sure about what they look like as adults, etc. Any input would be appreciated! From my investigation on the web, they don't get too big, so he may be able to stay in the tank for a long time.
