He's headed toward the cleaner shrimp for a cleaning.

Good luck with the angel. They are a bit difficult to keep.

Three words for you: Varied Enriched Diet.

Nice looking specimen tho.

Nice fish!! Agree with Stevarino on the Angel's diet. Supplement with greens, meaty foods, sponges, etc, etc. Proper nutrition is important.

I got Markk96's purple tang, thing is small but I plan on fattening him up real soon:D

thanks for the kind words and the heads up with many foods,
i have rods reef and mysis, what other recommendations?

Ocean Nutrition has an angel food that contains a lot of sponge in it. I would use that in addition to meaty foods, different algaes and some quality pellets.

thanks nanook
i just got him lastnight, i've used some garlic with the rods reef but he hasnt eaten yet. however im also told that with the regals and majestics it can take them a week to start eating.
he's pretty fat, i hope he comes around. i'll pick up some more food real soon though

Was he eating when you bought him? He is a Red Sea variety which means he will be slightly hardier than the grey bellied Bali version. I was told never to buy one unless they are already eating. I have heard there is a product (I have never used it) called "Clams on a half shell" that is great at enticing Regals to eat.

Either way, they are both beautiful specimens and I wish you luck.

Nice fish. I have purple tang envy. I'd like to add one to my 90 but I'm afraid my yellow would put up a fight.

he was eating before i brought him home, however it still makes me nervous until i see him eat again.
this fish is so pretty, its my first large angel, so im excited a bit.

Spectrum pellets should be the staple.
Nori with some selcon, or some vitachem used sparringly.

Ocean Nutrition makes a bunch of foods for angels that you can check out.
