I remember going as a kid in the 70's. Wasn't much there at the time but there were a lot of animals. Used to go every year in the late 80's and 90's but it's been quite a while since we went last. Seems like they have a ton of roller coasters now.
Very cool photos Roger, thanks for sharing. I have to get back over there, have'nt been in years. I just saw a show the other night that said they have a wooden roller coaster now. It looks amazing! If you have never been on a wooden coaster, and are a coaster fan..well you just have to do it.
I saw that show last night. It's called "Build it Bigger" right? I didn't know BG even had a wooden coaster although I like steel much better because of the smoothness of the ride.
It might have been, whatever it was it had to be on The Science channel, NGC, or Discovery...it seems like that's all we watch.
Maybe I am just partial to the wooden ones because I was raised up near Coney Island and used to ride the Cyclone for 50 cents. In the rain..yes, I am THAT old.
we had cypress gardens, it was an old school florida attraction...problem is no one went so it shut down. At least the state bought it so it didnt get bulldozed.
