that is a pretty nice pic+pretty nice zoas. i was snorkeling in the keys and i saw one come off of a rock and i thought woah those are rare i thought(nudibranch). nope, i looked closely and saw like 1 every foot of rock. pretty cool though
Lettuce nudis are a great thing. They do require bright light since they incorporate chloroplasts or chlorophyl from the algae they eat. Mine slowed down on eating once they had some fresh fuel in them.
Somewhere I have a pic of mine eating the hair off a turbo snail. Someone's got to clean the herbivores too!
Yeah, it's very fascinating that they can extract the chloroplasts out of marine algae to incorporate into their own bodies. Apparently they ate technically not a nudibranch, but a shell-less snail.
