A. lokani placement

This is actually more lineage specific, so I'm hoping some of you that have have these particular pieces will chime in.

The first one is the 20,000 Leagues Lokani. Reeffarmers has it listed in moderate to intense light, while Eric at Fragfarmer feels it should be in low light.

The other is the Eddies Purple Monster. I'm assuming that the 17" placement from a 400W Radium on Reeffarmers, is moderate lighting.

Some suggest that the A. lokani is a deepwater species, while AIMS describes its ideal environment as 'shallow reef'.

Karl, it did good for me in a low lighted area. Just to throw you off even more I tore down a customers tank yesterday who had it under a 10K 175w and it looked great. I would still put it lower in your tank since you are running a 400.

Thanks, Eric! I thinking about keeping it in a bowl for another week at the bottom, see how it reacts. I would much prefer to keep it low, since these are the SPS spots that are more difficult to fill. I just got more confused after doing more research:lol:

You've got some amazing stuff, Eric. That A. maxima was awesome. Almost made me want to jump into LPS

I would also recommend lower light for the lokani. Mine is located close to the bottom of my reef. And it holds the colors there better. I'm also using 400 mh.
