Hello,

I know this questions been asked 10000 times but there all flooded with "You cant get a camera that cheap to take decent picture".
My question is What is a camera that can take the best Crappy shots.

Iv had a DSLR Canon D20. Sold it because all I did with it was take shots of my tank.

It was just money that was being tied up. Im not into photography.

But it seems like my camera phone dosent cut it for pictures.

Im in the market for a Point and Shoot <200$

As I said I know what DSLR are capable off but they are not for me.

What are some Decent point and shoot cameras out there this year that will get the job done.

TO MAKE PPL take INTRESTED in this thread and not have it die like many other similar threads. I posed a few P&S picture. If you can, post some of your photos if you have a Cheap P&S. Make shure you tel us what camera you used and details if possible.

You want something that shoots in RAW mode, at the very minimum, and can be controlled manually if possible. I'm not aware of a sub-$200 model that does both.

To make this thread More lively and less depressing.
I had a P&S camera a little while ago and sold it for old DSLR.

Here what it could do. I forgot what it was tho..
I bought it used for about 140$.

This was a bit ago. Im shure cameras are a little better now.

Last spring I purchased a Canon Powershot SX130IS for right at $200. It has a manual mode, which I haven't used yet, but no RAW setting, as far as I know.

Some sample pictures.

Downy woodpecker, shot through double pane window at range of 4feet.

The camera has 12x optical zoom, 48x zoom with digital. Whitetail Deer buck, 50yard+ range 48x zoom freehand. (got a tripod since then)

I had the same camera as above, just an earlier model. It was the SX100IS. Here are a few samples of my pics with it...
