So I have a lagoon style set-up that's viewed top down. I often get in and try to observe the fish from up close, which is not that easy. I have more luck observing from outside the Lagoon during feeding time.
Now I QT with copper and prazi - Prophylactically every new fish. More background, there are 7 sharks living in this lagoon, the smallest being 19"-20" in length.
So I happen to notice what seems to be a perfect circle on the side of one the Yellow tangs in the lagoon. Now im guessing somehow, maybe through the introduction of Macro-Algaes that I often purchase in the adjoining tanks, but don't QT, that there is an ectoparasite problem now. And perhaps this perfect circle is a secondary Bacterial infection from the wound of this parasite?
Providing a picture will be almost impossible. But I will try.
It is mid-body, below the lateral line and is the size of a dime and as perfect as any circle Ive seen.
---Is there anything other than what I have hypothesized above that could cause this flesh colored circle?
Thanks in advance. Im Prazi treating the entire 2500+ gallon system today.
