Finally decided to post some pictures of my setup. Picked up a used AA tank 48 x 30 x 30 off Craigslist (LFS was having a fire sale as they were moving) with stand for $400. I originally had a 150 gallon tank that since burst on me (panels separated) so I had to rush everything. I had no time to build a nice stand w/ electrical cabinet like I wanted, nor get a canopy together....which ultimately was of no urgency since I lost ALL of my corals and anemones in a brute trash can due to a heater that ended up roasting everything (temp reached 87 degrees!).
(For those wondering, I did have an apex, but with only 1 temp probe, I elected to utilize it in the 25 gallon cooler holding my fish, as I'd rather lose the fish than corals)
So, over 2 weeks, I've had the pleasure of moving out the old tank and stand, moving in the new tank and stand, and basically taking everything one step at a time. Oh, and I had to do this while working nights, and without a lot of help. No matter, hopefully I'll get this looking better.
Anyways, specs on the build setup:
AA with 1/2" acrylic 48 x 30 x 30
AA sump 48 x 20 x 20 (8 inch water height)
3 Kessil a360W + 4 T5s + 2 MH (unsure if i'll use the MH)
Aquamaxx ConeS 2
Apex
2 MP40 QD
Don't mind the scape...I'm going to keep working on it.
