? about aptasia (sp)

i was just wondering if this very annoying creature is the type of thing that will receed into a tube once scared?

i have this little tiny thing i just noticed the other day on one of my live rocks...

the tube is about 5 mm long and about 1.5 mm wide...it has what looks like aptasia coming out of the top...if not it is some sort of very hairy looking polyp..the tentacles extend about 5 mm long...it is a brownish red colour..

and like i said when i go near it with a net or anything it slides into the tube..

and NO it looks nothing like any of the feather dusters in my tank...

i will try to get a pic of it but it will be a very difficult shot, since it is only about a centimeter long and it is a fair way back from the glass..

Sounds like you have colonial hydroids.
