I have a quiet one pump that should be pushing 350GPH with 5' of head. Here's how it is routed after the pump....
It splits at a T and then each side has a 90* elbow, goes up 1.5 feet, then has another 90* elbow to point the pipe towards the tank. On each of the 2 ends of pipe hanging over the tank, I've got a lock-line hose that splits and flows into the tank. That totals to 4 nozzles. The pipe is whatever size that fits the 3/4" lock-lines.
I am doing this for a 46bowfront that is going to have seahorses in it. It seems like there isn't much flow at all and that it would make keeping any softies at all impossible because the flow isn't great at all. Guess I need to get a bigger pump?
