? about new t5

i am going with a 6 bulb t5 what are best brands for the buck i have current nova now but it does not have indvidual reflectors and only 4 bulbs thanks

I have one of those cheap ebay t5 units with individual reflectors it worked great.

I have not been happy with my Current nova extreme pro 6x54. I have replaced 3 ballast and bought it new x 2 months ago. It was much longer than 48 inches so it didnt fit in my canopy. Should have spent the extra money and got something decent.

I also have a IC retro 4x54 kit that Im happy with. If your not getting a retro kit I would spend the extra cash up front and get an ATI fixture.

I wish I would have original bought two IC retros for my 120 and called it a day.

Aquactinics if you can swing it. They make one of the best but for the money you could do an ice cap retro's. Tek fixtures are really decent as well.

well i dont want the canopy so i need a compact fixture i was thinking about the Tek fixture little bit more but my father owns a fish store in St. Petersburg so i can get is whole sale.

I would go with an ATI fixture I have had mine for about 3 months and it is great, I have the 10x80w fixture.

I have to agree with the ati fixture. unfortunatly my tank is 48" so I'm using a tek rewired with a icecap 660 but i do have ati bulbs and i am very pleased.

ya that ATI fixture sure is expensive if i spend that much i was thinking of the Mh-T5 fixture any input on those i have always loved just the t-5 lights.

you could always go with a fish need it fixture. THere kinda cool looking but use cheapo ballast and bulbs. nothing that couldn't be upgraded
