I keep mine on 24/7 as I have an underpowered skimmer... I used to have a bak pak w/o a sump/fuge and it worked great but now I have an extra 15 gallons and the bak pak is in sump while I wait for my new octo extreme 160... Once that bad boy goes in I'm going to go to the reverse lighting schedule 10 hours DT lights 14 fuge...
But I have noticed that there is much less algae on the glass and I don't have to clean the glass as much and the small amount of HA I have in one corner is dying down a lot...
