About to order new tank!

So I am about ready to order my new custom 120 (will post specs below) and just wanted to check my list. Below is everything that I am ordering/already have.
Equipment

Aquamaxx em-200 skimmer

Aqua excel skimmer (I will be running two skimmers on this build as I like to spoil my fish with clean water and lots of food :fish1: If anyone has any recommendations on otherr skimmer please let me know)

Neptune apex with: Salinity probe, orp, ph, leak detectors, etc, etc...

Neptune systems DOS

Reefbreeders Photon 48 <-- Temporary until I decide on other lighting

Ecotech MP40 x2

Ecotech M1 return pump

Chiller (reccomendations?)

BRS 150 GPD RO/DI System

Tunze osmolator

GFO/CARBON Reactors

Biopellet reactor

Trigger systems tideline 48"

Refugium
I will have a display refugium connected to the main tank through a manifold powered by another M1 pump. The refugium will contain different types of macro algae. It will also have lots of live rock and sand. I will also be using this tank as a place to put fish in if they are agressive or being picked on. The tank will be anywhere from 30-60 gallons, most likely a cube.

REFUGE EQUIPMENT

MP10 Powerhead

LED lighting (not sure which lighting yet)

Is there anything that I am missing here?

You're missing my address to send the tideline sump to. j/k. Those are really nice looking sumps. This looks like a pretty sweet setup. Congrats.

Why not go with ecotech lighting. I've got the vectra and two mp40s . Ur going to need reeflink for vectra there isn't apex support. U will need ecotech module for apex. Sounds like Ur going to have a sweet setup. Might as well go with the ecotech trifecta like I did

I do like the radions, however I am also looking at the kessil AP700's.

Looks like it will be a nice setup. I am running the Tideline 48 on my system and am happy with it. As far as skimmer, you may be better off with one properly sized skimmer vs. 2 smaller ones. You may not need a chiller either, especially with LEDs, I've always been able to control temp with a fan on the sump.
I run the Vectra L1 for a return on my 270g and am able to run gfo and carbon reactors and still have plenty left to run a refugium when/if I install it. You may not need the second M1.

Just out of curiosity, who are you having your tank built by?

Both of the skimmers will be appropriately sized. The aquamaxx is rated for up to 200 gallons and the second skimmer will be in the range of ~300. I am pretty sure that I am going to need to run a chiller as my tank will be in my garage, and it get pretty hot here in california. I do not like to run manifolds off of the main return pump. The second M1 will power an entire 60 gallon refugium + 3-4 reactors at one time.
Thank you for your input.

Depending on what you have in mind for the denizens of the main tank, and if the tank's not going to be rimless, I'd suggest going with 4 MP10wQDs instead of 2 MP40wQDs. Having the ability to "spread the flow" allows a much more flexible aquascape, and ensures you can properly baste an SPS dominant setup without blowing the tissue off of the corals nearest the powerheads.

I never thought of this...
I do have an RW-15 to suppliment flow as well if need be.
I will definitely look into this. Thanks!

Sounds sweet. The Radion or AI does the job. In the end, between those is a Ford or Chevy thing. IMO...the Kessil AP700 is not ready for primetime.

Did you ever decide what your going to do with it? I figure I could check your other thread but I'm already typing this so oh well. You had some cool ideas

Who did you use to make your tank looking into buying a custom tank 60x24x24 I've only contacted reefomania so far but they haven't gotten back to me yet on 3 attempts , so guess I will th somebody else

If you are talking about the NPS/Predator tank that is a future project which will probably be setup in 6 months.

I am completely blanking on the name atm. I believe it is LeeMar's new company?

Another couple of suggestions. Presuming you live inland in San Jose, I'm thinking the outdoor air would be relatively dry. If that's the case, you might consider installing a heat-recovery air exchange unit in your garage like this. Not only will it drastically cut down on the humidity in your garage, which I suspect would be substantial if it's not on the house HVAC system, but dry air from outside will probably be sufficient to cool your tank/sump by evaporation.

If I'm wrong about the %RH, then I'd consider installing a heat-pump window unit. That will allow you to remove the heat generated from the tank and equipment all the way out of the garage, and heat the tanks and equipment on the occasional chilly day in the winter.

With respect to lighting, I'd encourage you to peruse the build threads in the SPS forums if you intend to keep a substantial amount of colored sticks. Many are either sticking with T5HO or T5HO/MH, but a lot are moving to combo LED/T5HO. Even with good, high-end LED fixtures, most still experience color-shifting and/or slow growth with LED only lighting schemes. And lighting a larger tank with LED-only fixtures typically takes quite a lot of them to get decent coverage, which is really pricey for the initial outlay.

That is a LOT of wires lol. Controllers wires power supplies .

Would be cool though to have 4....
