abs pipe

i have been told all piping should be in abs is this right

i rarely ever see people use abs piping, most use pvc or spa-flex. HTH, Mike

Most ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plumbing comes in black and us used mostly in high pressure plumbing systems, because quality ABS will not crack or split, as PVC can do under certain conditions.

If you want a black plumbing system, which some do, you'll pay extra $$$ for it. For home hobby systems, it's not needed.
