Acan flesh peeling off

Today, I got up and checked on the tank after my night worth of sleeping. As I'm checking on my tank, I notice that my rainbow acan's flesh was peeling off. What's up with this? Is there a cause for this. My tank parameters are great.

The only thing different was that I took the acan off of a frag plug and attached it to some rock. That's the only difference for the acan.

Any recommendations would be great.

Too much direct flow? Physical damage to the frag when you remounted it?

What did you use to attach it to the rock frag? Superglue? Aquamend? They like very low flow. Is that what it is getting?

Do you dose strontium?

It is necessary for tissue retention.

I would say that too much flow is the most common problem.

It was mounted on the bottom of a rock formation close to the sand bed. I had it middle of my tank on the frag rack prior to dismounting it.

I used superglue GEL when remounting it. Made sure to not get any on the corals, but on the skeleton of it.

Lesson learned though .. no more rainbow acans .
