I have had my acan for almost 3weeks now and it still won't open up I believe it was under a t5 lighting at the Lfs I have 120w full spectrum dimmable led lights I have tried everything I can think of put in the shade put it down low on the sand put it up high close to the light turn the lights up high and turn them down low whatever I do nothing is making them come back out they were fine in the Lfs the Lfs had it for a while water quality is fine just tested it 3 hours ago.... Any advice??

Just give it time. Sometimes they take a while to adjust. Some things in my tank opened up quickly, while others took there sweet ole time.

put it midway down the tank, in indirect light, low flow, and leave it. you can try to induce feeding when feeding the rest of the tank too. time and water parameters.

keep your lights at the normal setting. I didnt see what tank specs are. I saw your lights are dimmable, but what intensities do you have them at

If you have only had it 3 weeks, it will just take some time to fully acclimate. Leds in particular, from my own to reading about others, are very trial and error with few rules about height, par, coral placement, etc...

Ok sweet thanks no I don't know how to do that yet and tank specs are good

I don't really test for anything else. One more question its off topic but I got a zebra eel in my 90g reef with three clown fish one small nano a saddle back puffer and a 6 line wrasse am I fully stocked on my tank or can I add like two more fish the eel is probably about a foot long I just got him yesterday what are some thoughts

If you have access to PAR meter find a spot thats around 100-125 with low to medium light flow and leave them there.
I have mine on a natural sun cycle and they open all the way and then deflate a couple times a day as that appears to be normal to them. As soon as yours shows feeding tentacles ( the inner ring of tentacles, call it the edge of the rim if it was a car tire) try squirting some small pieces of mysis, cyclopeze or brine shrimp into it very gently.

Most likely has more to do with flow IMO. Acans like LOW flow, that's when they get really big and fluffy. More light usually just makes them red. Lower, actinic light helps them rainbow up if they are going too.
