Acan Lord Feeders always out

Hey All,

Just a quick question regarding acan lords. I have had some going on 2+ years now, doing good, grown from 2-3 head frags to 20+ head colonies. The weird thing is they have their feeders out 24/7, so I don't really get to enjoy the nice colors on them as much as I would like to. Is this normal? Are they trying to tell me to change something with their parameters?

Any advice form you acan lord gurus out there would be great.

Thanks,

Ira

I don't know if it would help or not but possibly spot feeding? I do that with mine and I rarely see him reaching for food. That's my best guess on what he is trying to accomplish.

I consider this a sign of good health. Its probably just trying to snag plankton sized food from the water column. I agree occasional feeding of mysis for example will prompt the animal to go into "normal mode" where it is just processing sunlight with feeding tentacles retracted but still "plumped up".
